The results of the  Manpower Employment Outlook Survey  reflect employer hiring plans for the first three months of 2016. And there is good news.   Based on the latest survey results, employers are planning to hire.  Here are the highlights:

  • 20% of U.S. employers plan to hire new employees.
  • 72% of U.S. employers plan to keep their workforce steady; only 6% plan to let staff go
  • Employers in these industries plan to hire the most: Leisure and Hospitality, Transportation & Utilities, Wholesale and Retail Trade, and Professional and Business Services. Start your search by exploring jobs in these industries.  On the manpowerjobs.com site you can search for jobs within these industries by using the Advanced Search, Occupation Type feature.
  • Specific U.S. locations reflecting the strongest plans to hire are Cape Coral, Florida; Washington, DC; Honolulu, HI; Dallas, TX; Grand Rapids, MI; Provo-Orem, UT
