Looking for a job can really be tough. How can you manage the stress of the search? Here are a few ideas to take it EASY:

EExpect things to take time. Today’s job search is not a quick process. Even if you are lucky enough to get an interview, the interview process can take weeks. Patience is key. Know that you are most likely going to be at this for a while.

AAim for jobs that you are qualified to take. Don’t waste your time applying for a job that you are grossly under- or over-qualified for; recruiters are too busy and it may reduce your chances if something else comes up at that same company. Be smart about the jobs you choose.

SSurround yourself with support. Build a strong team of family and friends that can help you along in your job search. Make sure you have some team members that will motivate you, some that will push you, some that will make you get off the couch and some that will keep your spirits up.

Y Yoga. Why yoga? Exercise can really help manage stress. Exercising your body can also benefit your mind. Keep everything moving. If not yoga, just make sure you’re not sitting around and moping about the job search process. Stay active.

Of course, there is nothing really easy about looking for a job. It takes time, dedication, persistence and a positive attitude. Keep your eyes open at all times for potential opportunities. And remember to network constantly; a job opportunity could be right in front of you at any given time. Be ready.
