If you’ve been thinking about looking for a new job, the time to start may be now. According to the latest Manpower Employment Outlook Survey, 24% of employers in the U.S. plan to increase staff in the third quarter of 2015. This means almost 1 in 4 employers will be looking for workers. While the percentage could be higher, it’s definitely positive.

Survey says:

  • 24% of U.S. employers plan to hire in Q3 – that’s almost one out of four employers. Keep an eye on the companies you want to work for; chances are some will be hiring.
  • Top industries for hiring include: Leisure & Hospitality, Professional & Business Services, Transportation & Utilities, and Wholesale & Retail Trade
  • Only 4% of employers plan to let staff go; 70% plan to keep their workforce steady.
  • The best metro areas for hiring include: Rochester, NY; Nashville, TN; Provo, UT; San Jose, CA; Columbia, SC; Seattle, WA. If you are in those areas, your job prospects are higher than the average. Make your moves now.
